![]() ![]() The cable tech came out last week and replaced some cable outside and replaced the modem. I have the same problem even when connecting the computer straight to the modem, bypassing the my internal network all together. The problem remains on different browsers, computers and routers. It is like my Cable service takes a long time to think about what I am asking it to do where as my DSL does it right away. Streaming live TV through Sling on my cable service is non-viewable most of the time with it constantly rebuffering. Once it connects, the test takes a long pause between actions but completes with decent numbers. My 60MB service takes 5-8 seconds to get a server when my 30MB service only takes 1 or 2 seconds. What I have noticed consistently is that on 's site is right at the very beginning, when the tool is searching for a server to use, it takes a very long time to connect. However, when I change DNS configuration to use Open DNS or Google, the problem remains. They are begging me to go back to the old provider. It takes 3 or 4 tries to get in and they get booted from groups a lot. The kids are having problems with all 3 XBoxes with signing in. The problem feels like a DNS issue because it takes quite awhile to connect to a site and sometimes when I visit another page within the same site I get an error that the page can't be found. My old service provider was DSL where tests show 3mb-25mb (which is the reason I am replacing it) ![]() The service is new and I still have access to my old service provider.įirst of all I have 60MB service from the cable company and reports that I am getting 50-70MB which is fine. I'm having an odd problem with my home Internet that I need your help with. ![]()
